Visual and Performing Arts

Including the arts in our learning

Aspects of visual and performing arts included in our unit on immigration

We've included the Visual and Performing Arts in our project in several ways:

Spanish Songs

The Spanish classes will be learning songs in Spanish about the migrant experience on Day 3.

CHoice Learning

On Day 4 in the History classes, students will be researching, making posters, and doing presentations to the class about the ways in which immigrants have enriched the culture of the United States.  The topics the students will be able to choose to research will include Art and Music, which have been greatly enriched by our immigrant cultures.

Service projects

As part of the service learning project, students will have several options that focus on Visual and Performing Arts:  a video public service announcement, a mural, or a play about immigration.
